Florida Rural Water Association is excited to offer this new member only benefit. This Fleet Pricing program has never been available to rural and small systems and will save thousands of dollars, provide flexibility the type of vehicles and flexibility to order year round with deep discounts offered only through the rural water fleet program.
The national association and the Florida Rural Water Association worked with a company called Alpha Sources to negotiate an exclusive fleet program for rural water members. Each of the major manufacturers were provided an opportunity to participate. Daimler Chrysler was chosen because of the aggressive discounts and the full range of dodge and Chrysler products.

The rural water fleet program through Daimler Chrysler offers a variety of vehicles allowing systems to choose the vehicle best suited for the job. From pick-ups to PT Cruisers, the program is designed to meet the system needs. In addition, if a system chooses, financing is available through the Chrysler financing Corporation.
This program, when comparing apples to apples is comparable or below the state contract price. It offers other benefit normally not associated with state purchase. The program allows you to choose from a full line of vehicles with the options your system needs. It also allows your system to order through your local dealer anytime throughout the year.
The discount off of the Base Dealer invoice is different for each type of vehicle. From Jeep Wrangler discounts of $2,000.00 to $5,500 for a quad cab dodge pick-up, the pricing is aggressive and a tremendous savings for the thousands of rural and small systems across the nation.
Fleet discounts are intended to be deducted from or near the Base Dealer Invoice Price. In other words what the dealer is paying for the vehicle. Retail buyers typically start at the MSRP price or the retail price. A fleet dealer is accustomed to fleet purchases with discounts taken from the dealer base invoice pricing.
Here is an example; This is a 2005 quad cab long bed ˝ ton pick-up. The retail price is $26,105, the dealer or base invoice price is $23,199. The rural water fleet discount is taken off of the $23,199 base price. Your discount is on this vehicle is $5,500 leaving the purchase price at $17,699.00 or 32% discount off of retail and 23% below the manufacturer invoice.
Here is a regular cab dodge Pickup with a long bed. A 30% percent discount from retail and 23.6% under manufacturer invoice price.
We encourage you to research before you order. Determine the type of vehicle you wish to purchase and know the numbers before you go to a dealer. Consumer Reports, auto trader, blue book and other sites can provide you with the retail price as well as the base dealer invoice price. Remember these discounts are intended to be deducted from the base dealer invoice price. Knowing the price before you go in, provides you with the best deal. The fleet dealers in your state can be located a the fleet.chrysler.com web page. Prior to ordering you will need to obtain a fleet number from your state association. To make your purchase easier, deal with the person who handles fleet sales and be sure to tell the salesperson that there is a “volume incentive discount” associated with your fleet number.
You may also order through your local dealer although they may not be as knowledgeable in fleet sales.
Remember ensure you get the appropriate discount from the dealer. Ensure that the sales person knows that your fleet number has a volume incentive discount associated with it.

If a fleet dealer is more than 100 miles form your home, you can elect to have the vehicle dropped at the local dealer in your town. There is a charge for this deliver.
